Fit for a Queen! So incredibly beautiful! When you publish the pattern, I'd love to buy it.

By the time it's published I will have (hopefull) finished the Chinook shawl from Knitpicks. It's my first shawl attempt. (I am hooked) Or as my DF says: "Lace Lust". Indeed.

Your pictures are wonderful. We all cheer and applaude you. Wonderful for sharing!

Yes be proud. Bask in your achievement. You deserve it!

Our best,
Alexandra & Family

I am very sorry to hear about your friend. Melanoma is such a fast and vicious disease - all too common in Australia. You can have a 1cm lesion and it's already in the lymph nodes and the blood.

Congratulations on the publishing - both patterns are beautiful, esp the shawl. But I have a soft spot for your shawls, always will..

Although I'm not a religious person - I do think there is a kind of karmic circularity that will be made when you knit the shawl from your friends handspun. Who knows, perhaps she might even be watching you.

Jae, what beautiful photographs of those gorgeous squares. Can't go wrong with cream - and what lovely sentiment.

Joan is right, they do look very tranquil there too.

We both belong to the Button and Stitch Marker Swap. That is where I saw you had a blog so I thought I'd visit. I am very interested in your group's Afghan Pamphlet. I'd love to purchase one when they are ready. Please keep me in mind!! I am so into Sampler Afghans. I teach knitting and crocheting, samplers are the best way to teach a variety of stitches, make blocks, assemble and magically....You have an Afghan!!!

Having lost my dearest friend years ago at the young age of 46, I'm touched by the passing of your friend and the story of your shawl. I love Shan's suggestion to make the shawl, auction it and donate the proceeds to your friend's favorite charity in her name.
