I am spending the weekend with my father. Something prompted him to decide that this was the year to check white water rafting off his list of things to do before the end of his days or so I am assuming that’s his motivation. Something else prompted me to cheerfully go along for the ride. Now that the weekend is here, I’m beginning to wonder if insanity runs in the family. Mom’s opinion doesn’t count.
I’m sure that all will go well and that the worst that will happen is a good soaking. But if not, will you please make sure that my husband doesn’t use my stash for fishing?

It’s so great you will go with your DAD. I’d Give almost anything to go with mine but he passed away over 10 years ago. Treasure these moments!!

Good luck! My DH uses my knitting needles to fix things - his broken tail light, the kitchen lamp… anything he can wedge a needle into!

When *my* father decided to check white water rafting off his list, to the surprise of all my mother went with him. And she loved it! I think that part was an even bigger surprise, actually. You’ll have a great time.

Oh too exciting for me, we have WWR in the Gorge down the road, in the middle of town almost, when the Hydro empties the dam. It is really white and wavy!! Have fun, wear your PFD. Scream a lot!!!

Oh, you’ll have a blast. The water is cold but you will have fun! We went a couple years ago and had a blast.
