For the holiday weekend, I’m spending time with my family. My mom has graciously provided photos of my recent finished object - the cardigan. This is of great fortune for me. The progress on the peacock shawl is slow. I was afraid that recycled photos might become obvious.
I enjoyed the process of knitting this garment. The educational value of this project was tremendous. Employing the knowledge from a class on adding darts and taking the plunge of actually cutting my knitting were just a few of the things I practiced.
I have also finally acknowledged that deadline knitting and I are not compatible. This is the third project that was supposed to be complete by an “event”. It is the third project completed significantly after said “event”. Denial can only last so long. :)
Pattern: My Own
Yarn: Cascade 220 and Trendsetter Montage, color/yardage info to come later when I’m home and able to look at my notes
Needles: US7 for the trim, US8 for the main body
Start to Finish: Nov 19, 2006 - May 8, 2007

That’s great! The fit is smack on and it looks like a sweater she’ll reach for time and again.
Shawl knitting is slow. Can’t rush beauty you know. Take your time and enjoy your project. We all understand.
