Y’all Know How to Cheer Someone Up

January 5th, 2007 · 3 Comments

Obviously, I was a little stung earlier.  (I even debated posting about it, but if you can’t be honest in cyberspace…)  I was feeling rather stupid and that hurt a bit.  I know that it was more a matter of me reading too much into the relationship than deliberate meanness on her part.  Which is sooooo obvious now.  Thus, the stupid and hurt bit.

Even better than the beer and the tissues were your comments.  All I can picture is Arleta opening a can of whoop-ass, Marti putting an umbrella in my drink before my tears ruined a perfectly good beer, and Donni pulling out a blender, and Metal & Knit showing up with more beer.  The rest of you were there with the virtual hugs.  I know if you could have, you would also have made sure I didn’t go out of the house with my mascara all smeary.

So while my judgement in the real world didn’t do so well, I obviously know how to find good friends in blogistan.  You know how to make someone feel right with the world!

Sorry to hear of your troubles. I lost what I thought was a friend a little more than a year ago. At the time I was filled with anger, but over the time I realized I didn’t need any poisonous friendships (which in retrospect, it completely was). I only need my family, good friends, good wine and soft yarn. Soldier on — you can do better!!
