In addition to my sponsorships, part of my entry fee to Knit Michigan consists of a chemo cap. So, yesterday at three in the afternoon, I shopped my stash. Buried in the back was a wonderful yarn that reminded me of the Caribbean islands.

Is There Caffiene in Yarn?
January 23rd, 2007 · 18 Comments
Several months ago I purchased some yarn. I know, I know, I’m stating the obvious. Yarn that was meant for Lady Eleanor of Scarf Style. It has been knit by many all over blogland.  I wanted to be one of those people, desperately!  But first I had to knit my ABC’s, then a last minute christmas knit, […]

A Huge Thank You
January 21st, 2007 · 4 Comments
I’d like to take a moment to thank those of you supporting my Knit Michigan cause. The current total is $330. This far exceeds my needed sponsorship of $250. I am more than half way to my personal goal of $500. I’ve listed my sponsors in the sidebar. You deserve the recognition and I am […]

Quiet Stillness

Winter has finally arrived in Michigan, with a vengeance. Yesterday, I had the singularly unpleasant experience of my alarm clock going off not once, not twice, but three times as my power pulsed on and off. Once nature made a decision to permanently disconnect power from my house, I went back to sleep. Afterall, there was […]

What to Knit?
January 11th, 2007 · 5 Comments
I received this book as a late Christmas gift. I have flipped through it’s pages so much in just four days that I am surprised the binding has not broken.Â
After seeing the preview at Stitches Midwest last summer, I knew I would have a difficult time choosing which pattern to cast on for. As you can see, […]
