You would think from the way I would jump every time my phone rang last week that I was expecting a call from the Pope himself. But, no - I was waiting for something far more important. (Not that a phone call from the Pope wouldn’t be something to brag about.) By Thursday, my phone had not rung. Well, not from the person I cared to hear from (nor the Pope). So, I proceeded to call them (the person I wanted to speak to, not the Pope). First it was once a day, then twice, then every four hours, then I began pacing and then I attempted to will the phone into submission.
Finally, Monday afternoon the call came. Lainey Rose. 9 lbs 11 oz. 22 inches. Ten fingers, ten toes, and full head of dark wavy hair.
I’m an aunt!!

Congratulations, Jae! She is adorable, and what a pretty name. She’ll look great wrapped up in the alphabet blanket with her dark hair. She’s a big girl, I hope Mom didn’t have a drawn out delivery.

She is just gorgeous. And I bet you have a zillion things already on your to-do list to knit for her. Look at those cheeks. Sigh…they really are precious, aren’t they?
p.s. I’m sorry I forgot to let you know I moved my blog. Too much going on…but I’m glad you found me again.
