Please Tell Me…

manoscable… you see cables?? I don’t know if it is the inconsistent thickness of the Manos or the variation in color, but the cables do not seem very distinct. However, I am unwillingly to start over with a new pattern or new yarn. I am stubborn. I am hopeful. I am determined. I really, really like the pattern, and I really, really love the yarn. I only hope that blocking will put everything right. As you can tell, I have started with the Manos for my scarf recipient. But lest you think I have actually chosen Manos over Noro, I will be casting the other yarn on soon.

It seems that all I have been knitting lately is scarves. I am almost finished with my second to last Christmas gift, Karen’s scarf. It is a little darker than the picture leads you to believe. And I absolutely LOVE the pattern. I found it while searching for patterns for the scarf exchange - My So Called Scarf. It looks more like a woven scarf than a knitted one. And it is much denser, like a crocheted item.karenscarf

Jae, email me at mlweaving at earthlink dot net.
We need to chat a moment before you get too far into the Manos cables.
